Hi, I'm Stark and Callum and I have been team mates for a few years. Over the last few years havnt done too many races ready to change that and it provides a good distraction from study!
Ive been slack since first year of uni i guess, and have barely maintained a minimal level of fitness. Callum's given me the kick up the arse i needed and now I'm getting excited to be back into it. I was just starting to be able to put a few extra km's here and there before I started getting a mild case of shin splints. Straight away stopped for a few days gave it the the old RICE treatment and am back on to it with a wee run today. Felt a bit of pain but has definitly decreased so my stretches and antiflam rub downs are working a treat..
Currents goals are; to get back to running 10km comfortably
run that 10km under 40min
Drop around 10kg
Beat Callum on the gauntlet once we are back home start of July
Going to get back into the runnning and rogaine circuit again. Ive started to plot out some events to target that I can have a tangible goal to work towards- barring any more shin issues. Have got 1 person sussed to come race with me, anyone else keen...
Had some snow down here and couldn't resist a tear around up the port hills so pent the afternoon up there bouncing around the rocks and going up to some of the local peaks.
